Strawberry Picking at Vollmer Farm

On Sunday we went to Vollmer Farm to pick strawberries.  (We've been to Vollmer Farm for all four seasons now, we went last summer for blueberries and blackberries, we went last fall during Halloween, and this last winter for the Christmas season.)  Vollmer Farm is great because it is an organic pick-your-own farm and they have a lot of fun things for kids to do.

When we first got there we had some of the home made ice cream from the ice cream shop

Then Avery weighed herself on the big scale!

We got a wagon and headed out to the strawberry fields

Avery enjoyed picking her own strawberries, she loved helping mommy and daddy.

After we got done we loaded up the wagon and headed back to the main barn:

After we got back we all played on the playground

And Avery checked to see how tall she was

We've been enjoying the fresh strawberries a lot, we even got some angel food cake!
