Then we took a hayride out to the patch:
Baby Austin like sitting on the hay in the wagon:
After we got out there, Avery "photo bombed" and liked sitting in on other family's pictures:
Here is Colleen walking through the patch:
Here is Avery on her favorite pumpkin:
And then a few minutes later, pouting for no reason (other than the fact she is a two year old)
After she cheered up a bit, we did a corn maze:
We ended up picking out two small pumpkins, one green and one orange, but for some reason we never took a photo of those. We also had a few cider donuts that Mike and Lisa brought from a stand near their house!
great photos!! especially liked the second to the last one and the bokeh in the portrait of colleen! the pouty pics were way too cute! i just love seeing what you guys are up to! thanks for taking the time to blog. we are trying the babies in separate beds tonight. its a little sad but hard to be sad when mr. quinn keeps laughing about it. Ruby Baby is so tired but we hear them back there babbling on and on and we keep going back and every time he sees us he squeals with delight and a huge wide open mouth smile. Mr. Quinn is too happy to sleep and he keeps trying to put Ruby's hand in his mouth while she's trying to sleep so we're trying them separated tonight. we'll see how it goes. i love avery's hair. i just decided tonight, while I was looking at her cutie bow that I won't cut bangs for Ruby Baby. Maybe she will have gorgeous hair like avery someday! love to you all. ps what kind of lens were you shooting with?
ReplyDeleteUsing a 50mm f/1.8 prime lens for those pics. It was a steal at only $89. The f/1.4 lens price is about $300+ so I had to draw the line there as the price really jumps up. One of these days I will get adventourous and shout in RAW format because afterwards I see adjustments I would like to make. This day was perfect for the pics, overcast! The one thing that is tough though, is that using a low f stop with a very narrow range of focus means you have to really concentrate on focusing (or ensuring the auto focus) is right on the subject. If it's slightly off the center of your subject (ie on the neck instead of the nose or eye) then the face is blurry since the range of focus is so limited. FOr instance if Avery moves a few inches while I am pressing the shutter button sometimes it focuses on say a fence post that is now just immediately left of a face but 50 feet behind and then the photo is a nice crisp fence post and everything else is blurry!
ReplyDeleteSeperate beds but same bedroom? At least they have someone to talk (squeal / babble!) to!
