Thanksgiving

Well since our home is being worked on (we'll post all the info and pictures on that once they finish in a week or so) we couldn't host Thanksgiving like we originally planned.  Thus we searched airfares and found a super cheap flight to St Louis for that week.

While there we ran in a Turkey Trot.  The race was the Kirkwood - Webster Turkey Day Run through the beautiful homes in Kirkwood and Webster Groves.  Most of the family and extended family participated, including siblings, cousins, spouses, nieces, etc.  Man was it cold though.  We left temperatures in the 70s in North Carolina and the low that morning was around 30-35 degrees, brrrr!

Colleen was the first female running in the family to cross the finish line at a sub-9:00 per mile pace (8:50 per mile) in 26 minutes and 29 seconds!!!

Jim was the first in all the family to finish by running 6:24 miles and finished at 19:10.

Jen, Ashely, and Lauren also all ran their first road race, good job to them.

And if they had a category for it, James would have won the first overall participant to finish with a jogging stroller, pushing Olivia, good job!

On Thanksgiving day we first went to Ted's mom Shirley's house.

We stayed and visited there for appetizers.  Then we went to the Berchelmann's house for turkey and dinner.

Next we went to the Cross's house for desserts.  We got to see Grandma and Grandpa Harper.  Unfortunately we didn't get to see Grandma Dahlem, she was in Illinois visiting more family.  Next time we will make sure our schedule's match up!

We tried to take a family picture that was pure chaos:

Avery got to take a picture with all the cousins:

Avery got to play with her cousins too:

Avery also got to play with her cousin Olivia in their matching pajamas!

We flew back Saturday morning and enjoyed coming back to the warm weather!
