Grandpa and Grandma Dahlem visited from NV for a few days here. Because it is just a little over one month until Avery's 1st birthday, and because they probably won't be back before then, we celebrated Avery's birthday early with them (we called it practice for her actual big day)!
It was really nice out so we ate good North Carolina Barbeque from "The Pit", a local joint that is nationally known as one of the best places in town. After we ate, we gave Avery her "birthday" cupcake and lit a candle and sung her Happy Birthday.

Since it was Jim's birthday last month they brought both Jim's and Avery's gifts to open:
Of course one of Avery's favorite presents was the Mega Blocks...or was it actually daddy's favorite present???? He built a huge tower for Avery to knock over
We're off to Key West in a few days, for Colleen's spring break!!!
